Her creative thinking will effectively and powerfully change the traditional concept of Saudi women in local and international forums. Albagshi is working as a supervisor of Art Education. Founding member of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Society of Fine Arts (Jsvet), MA in Curriculum and Teaching Methods of Art Education from King Saud University in Riyadh. Exhibitions in Austria, Korea, India, Lebanon, Egypt, Morocco, Oman, Tunisia, United Arab Emi- rates, Bahrain, Kuwait etc. 2010 she represented Saudi Arabia at the Biennale of Women and Arts in Sharjah Museum of Guenon and at the Biennale Bangladesh. 2008 Saudi Arabia Gallery in the Opera House Egypt; Museum du Montparnasse, Paris. 2010 Paris's Louvre Museum. Awards: along many others she was the first Saudi woman to receive the award for visual events within the cultural week of Hajar second festival in 2002. More in the note to the left! <------- This year the Marina Crescent beach will give home to a fantastic 3-day series of events in frame of the 1st Spring Fling Sports Carnival. Beside the Raft Competition the Spring Fling Sports Carnival will feature beach football, beach volleyball and tug of war tournaments alongside with the traditional carnival activities. The Carnival is organized under the patronage of the National Committee for Drug Prevention and is aimed to inspire the young generation of Kuwait to conduct a healthy life stile and fight against the spreading use of drugs.
The Organizers expect vast participation of all segments of the Kuwaiti society – locals and expatriates alike – of all age groups to enjoy the outdoor activities (either by direct participation in the sports and fun events or as spectators cheering their selected teams). The Spring Fling Sports Carnival will take place between April 26 – 28; the Q8 Raft Competition will be held on Friday, April 27th (heats will start at 9.00 AM). All sports activities offer the possibility of participation to any enthusiastic, sports-loving and health / fitness conscious resident of Kuwait. Teams wishing to participate are invited to register by completing the online Registration Form (containing the name of the team, name of team members, name and contact of the Captain) available at the links below then forwarding the Form to one of the following e-mail addresses: [email protected], [email protected] or [email protected]. Captains will be contacted by the organizers for discussion of training schedules and collection of team member photos for the purpose of distribution of Team Badges allowing access to the training rafts and the training area from 1st of April till the date of the Race.
